*The careful and responsible management of possessions, abilities, and time is stewardship.
*In both parables, two of the servants were faithful to use the money to earn more money.
*God wants believers to use their gifts to encourage other believers and help unbelievers learn about Him.
*God rewards those who show good stewardship.
*In both parables, one servant hid the money.
*Believers who have a close relationship with God want to serve and help others more and more.

SCIENCE STUDY GUIDE: UNIT 7     WATER AND WEATHER
                             *TEST DATE: Friday, February 24th
VOCABULARY And FACTS TO KNOW!!!
*Weather is the name for the condition of the atmosphere at one place and one time.
*The water cycle shows that water never ends its movement between Earth’s surface and the air.
*Temperature is the measure of : how hot or cold.
Evaporation describes the change from a liquid to a gas.
*Precipitation is the way liquid water moves from air to the ground. The thick layer of gases surrounding the Earth is called air.
*Glaciers and icebergs hold the most  fresh water. A glacier has only frozen water.
*Water vapor is the gas that is part of the weather.
*The correct order for how water from the ocean becomes rain is: evaporation-condensation-precipitation.
WRITING SECTION:
*Why should the atmosphere be studied in order to study winds? Because winds are the movements of gases in the atmosphere.*List reasons to conserve fresh water.

 *Know: In order to restore relationships Jesus told us to be quick to do 2 things. These 2 actions are:1.Ask for forgiveness 2. Extend forgiveness

-A servant was upset because he owed a debt to the king.-The king forgave the large debt.-The first servant put another servant in prison.-The king was angry because the servant didn’t forgive the other servant’s debt.-The king turned the servant over for punishment.

Biography Poster Project

BIOGRAPHY POSTER PROJECT
You will create a “Biography Book Report Poster”.  Choose a biography book on a third grade reading level.  Choose a person about whom you would like to learn more. Students will present their posters on March 21st in Fellowship Hall at 2:30.    
Bring your book to school to be approved by your teacher
no later than Thursday, February 16th.
The final project is due on Friday, March 17th.
1.     Use a piece of standard size poster board – about 22” x 30”.
2.    Cut a hole in the center – about the size for your face to show through it.
3.    Write your information on lined paper & glue it to the poster board around “your face”.
4.    Write your name grade & due date on the bottom right-hand side of the BACK of the poster.
5.    The following information must be included:
a.     Title, author & copyright date
b.    Early years
                                                             i.      Birth date
                                                           ii.      Birth place
                                                        iii.      Family life
c.      Middle years
                                                             i.      Education
                                                           ii.      Hobbies
d.     Late years
                                                             i.      Problem faced & solution
                                                           ii.      Major contributions to society
                                                        iii.      Death date & cause, if known
e.      Why you chose this person
6.     Make your poster inviting & colorful.  Points will also be given for following directions & creativity.

7.    Have fun with the project & learn a lot.

*Know Luke 19:10
 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”
*Write about the parable of the lost son and how he repented, and reconciled with his father. (3-4 sentences)
*Facts To Know:
The Lost Sheep-The shepherd searched for the sheep, just as Jesus showed He loves and cares about lost people.
The Lost Coin-The coin was lost, just as sinners are lost.
The Lost Son-God welcomes those who repent.
*Jesus taught about the “lost” using parables.
*The shepherd shows compassion for his sheep.
*God wants sinners to show repentance.
*Believers should tell the lost about Jesus, so believers take part in evangelism.

*The word “gospel” means GOOD NEWS!!!
